Welcome to the File Wipe Installation Guide. Let's get rid of those annoying email signatures.

File Wipe eliminates (or renames) email signatures, social media icons and social media logos from inbound email messages. This results in less clutter and a smaller file storage footprint in your instance.

Installation - (1) Install Email-to-Flow

Installation - (2) Query All Files Permission

Installation - (3) Create File Wipe Library

Installation - (4) Configure File Wipe Rule CMDT

Implementations

Retroactive Batch

The File Wipe functionality can be run as a batch to retroactively file files that have been added to the library.

Attachments

If you are leveraging File Wipe on Attachments, this one-time batch process must be run in the instance to populate hash values

Real Time

The File Wipe functionality can be implemented as an apex trigger. Simply configure the CMDT as needed.

Real Time via Flow

The File Wipe functionality can be implemented in your Email-to-Flow providing elimination of files immediately.
